After listening closely to your feedback from past festivals, we’re evolving ILLUMINATE in meaningful ways for 2026. This year brings a refreshed format designed to amplify what makes our gathering truly special: not just powerful conscious films, but the intentional spaces between them – guided discussions, reflections, music, and community moments that weave the themes and topics of the films into deeper personal and collective awakening.
Mark your calendars for October 2-4, 2026 in Santa Barbara, where we’ll come together to illuminate consciousness, oneness, and inner growth through film and shared experience.
What’s in Store This Year?
- Friday, October 2 – Opening Day A matinee gala screening in addition to a celebration spotlighting our Micro Short finalists, complete with awards and heartfelt recognition of emerging voices in conscious storytelling. That evening: our Opening Night feature gala screening, including a special “Luminary” keynote from an inspiring headliner, and a joyful VIP party to connect under the stars.
- Saturday & Sunday, October 3-4 – The Film Journey An immersive weekend experience flowing through carefully curated films and transformative interludes [placeholder: xyz details for Danette to fill in – e.g., specific themes, additional keynotes, workshops, live music, or community circles]. Expect nourishment for the mind, heart, and spirit as we explore inner transition, oneness, and personal awakening together.
