Illuminate Film Festival and Holomovement Partner to Activate 2025 Festival Theme: Looking Through
the Lens of Love
Santa Barbara, CA – Jan. 16, 2025 – ILLUMINATE Film Festival, the world’s leading showcase for films that support humanity’s collective awakening, announces key partnership with the Holomovement for a second year on May 1 – 11th in Santa Barbara, California and globally online. This creative collaboration combines ILLUMINATE’s mission of elevating human consciousness and inspiring lasting transformation through film and media with the Holomovement’s work catalyzing a critical mass of collaborative action toward creating a world that works for all.
This year’s Festival theme, Looking Through the Lens of Love, is a call to action in response to the critical needs of our world. Attendees will experience carefully curated narrative features, documentaries, and shorts that explore the depths of human potential to emphasize the connection between inner transformation and societal change. Partnering with the Holomovement empowers attendees to transform this cinematic inspiration into on-the-ground social impact.
Building on the success of last year’s Festival, this partnership will again support a “HoloMovie Award” with a $5,000 cash prize for a film that most exemplifies the principles of the Holomovement. An in-person program about how to put love into action in our lives will serve as a centerpiece within ILLUMINATE’s Festival programming on Saturday, May 3rd.
Attendees inspired by the possibilities presented at the Festival will be invited to join the Holomovement’s community of activators carrying a bold vision for planetary thriving and who are committed to taking action through projects impacting the greater good.
“We are thrilled to be partnering again with the Holomovement. It resonates deeply with ILLUMINATE’s commitment to conscious media and exemplifies our dedication to showcasing films that not only entertain but also catalyze positive change. This collaboration reinforces our conviction that every person—whether viewer or filmmaker—has a unique and vital role in co-creating a more conscious, interconnected world that thrives for all.” says ILLUMINATE’s Interim Executive Director, Kia Kiso.
