If you're going to break the law, you'll need a little help from your friends. During the early 1960s, a group of family, friends and surfers formed a church centered around psychedelics called the Brotherhood of Eternal Love. Part cat-and-mouse and part exploration of the groundwork that eventually became the War on Drugs, Orange Sunshine whisks viewers on an intriguing, Timothy Leary-esque tale of altered consciousness. The Brotherhood travels through Europe, Afghanistan and South America, evading capture and risking their family, freedom and lives—all in the name of enlightenment.
PANEL DISCUSSION: A discussion on ethics and psychedelics follows.
